Re: [microsound] a Pi Day article to enjoy



An interesting article, but very rooted in the assumption that music is primarily
a western-civilization construct based on equal temperament (ie. 12 tone)
melodic and harmonic principles.

I think it would be more interesting for microsounders to study some of the
works of Xenakis, especially relating to the kinetic theory of gases and 
Brownian motion as mathematical jumping-off points for compostition.
