yes. i made a wise decision not to use it on the rollercoaster we went on:) although i did get some good haunted house recordings. i'll have to try it w/ an external mic. it's tricky w/ the internal as it picks up any impact, even just readjusting your hold ever so slightly on the unit will transfer sound to the internal mics... i have a lot of editing to do...

that being said, be sure to use and wear the wrist strap when recording or else you might drop the unit and it is not as robust as a mobile phone
so it could require a trip to the repair shop
