 i agree, certain loops really unfold after a while
and one begins to to hear micro-tonalities.possibly an
illustrative story is that recently i recommended
'boards of canada' to a friend who was quite taken by
it.he told me that he he had listened to the first lp
and then put on the 2nd lp.he was working in his
studio and he said that he became entranced by this
'deep fuzzy groove' that he must have enjoyed for
twenty minutes.as he was crossing his studio to get
something, he walked by his turntable and noticed that
the needle had in fact slipped off the record and was
picking up the sounds of the mat and the outside edge
of the record.he told me he was kind of bummed when he
actually put the needle on the record...
