Irony or otherwise.
Are new forms of product presentation really so interesting on anything but the most superficial level? Personally, I am not so sure.  Minimalism?.obviously most of us on this list are attracted to this concept?.but then again so are the executives at IKEA. 

It isn't so much the general concept of initially limiting the production of an artistic item that bothers me, more the explicit demonstration or promotion of that fact to the consumer (especially hand-numbered items). Thus the inticement of the bourgeois mind. Yes the commodification of scarcity?.just an advanced form of capitalism.  The 'burn to order' concept I like....(yes....well alright...logistical concerns).  

Reality enters:  I actually just purchased some sort of limited Ambarchi thing...fuck
