i am afraid this will set a precedent for further censorship of software and the
free exchange of ideas. target number two would hotline. it's not so much the
individual company being shut down that is worrisome, but the fact that other
injunctions could use this as a spring board for future censorship's. anonymity
on the internet could (is?) the another target, to be able to punish the wrong
doers that are presently moderately anonymous. us government intervention and
control (like aol chat rooms, except on the whole internet) over this space we
roam freely. it's quite scary what this could (and i feel just might) lead to.
while i might be being a little melodramatic, i am fearful what future actions
will build on this decision. it will take time, and be gradual, but it totally
can happen.
