Re: [microsound] Composers using "glitch" need to just do it!



Well, I'm not about to start feeling self-conscious about using some
label. The "glitch" is an important part of my compositional processes.
Even back before I worked with digital formats, I highly welcomed
so-called "accidents." I'm not about to stop now. For one thing I find
that these occurences help loosen the control an artist tends to want to
grip over their works  and teach them to lighten up and be open to ideas
other than the ones they may generate; and not to mention thwart the ego
that tends to get involved with an artistic endeavor. Trends or fashion
statements be damned. To quote a corporate slogan: "just do it!" (I
obviously don't feel self-conscious about that either) ;^)
