Nope, no heresy, at least not in my book.

I still use Cubase VST to put together all my various bits and pieces (stuff
that´s been created in other software than Cubase), because this is software
I´ve been using for something like 10 years and therefore know it very well,
and because I find it´s audio handling better and better by the upgrade (now,
where is 5.0 for the Mac?).

I can imagine, though, that when the Timeline in Kyma improves and becomes more
like the timeline in Cubase I might just start using it more and more for
putting together more advanced structures where parameters can be edited and
changed in a more flexible way than is the case with Cubase (simply because
Kyma is more powerful than Cubase in terms of processing
power/algorithms/real-time control etc.). However, being able to play back 25+
tracks in Cubase means it´s a very powerful program if you have numerous bits
that wants to become a piece, and I constantly find myself pushing its capacity
by playing back close to 30 tracks more or less simultaneously.

I hear people are putting together complete pieces in MetaSynth and MSP (Hi
Gregory) these days, though, so things could change, at least somewhat, in the
future. In addition, I wish I could do stuff like bouncing things around in
real-time, throwing in some additional effects on the fly etc. -- all in all:
more improvisational possibilities.
