RE: [microsound] microvising...and structures

A question i'd really like to ask to most of the fellow musicians on this
list: when you're working on an electroacoustic track for instance, when you
use software processed sounds, do you then use a sequencer to organize them
? I tend to use cubase , but when dealing with non rythmic tracks or pieces,
it very much feels like collage rather than sequencing...

i use digital performer.. in much the same way.. a collage...

A godd example is
Tetsu Inoue's latest "Fragment Dots": millions of different sounds, but
rather poor structures (very quick cut'n'paste or so it seems). So how many
of you use sequencers n the end ? Or is it a heresy to use a sequencer ? I
don't use Supercollider or Max MSP yet (coming soon...) but rather VST Plug
Ins (the GRM tools are amazing for instance)... So is it a heresy too ?
Thanks, I'm just being curious O.

it's only heresy to think that the tools you're using are heresy!...
in the end, who cares what gets used... the buzzy trends like Max and
supercollider are cool.. but there's a lot more available than those..
