Re: [microsound] Intellectual Property
>Hiding discoveries is hiding truth, and therefore

melodramatic. I don't believe that there is any one 'truth' in music or
in making music. We all approach music differently, even when attempting
to trace another's methods. So many personal elements come into play when
creating music and the outcome is not only created from an individuated
perspective, it's also heard that way as well. The 'truth' is relative to
each person's own viewpoint. Are we in darkness because someone like
Pierre Henry hasn't displayed an important element of his creative
process? To be honest, I try not to think about my methods of
composition. I tend to work "on the fly" and quickly forget what a given
process might be. One reason for this, is so I can listen to my own music
as someone who is outside of the process and therefore keep it "fresh"
for myself. If someone cared to look over my shoulder, that would be fine
by me.
