You could try a low pass filter, or a de-esser tuned to the frequencies you
are trying to get rid of, or a valve stage (or valve emulator plug-in).
Depending on the effect you're after, you may need to combine several
processes. Another option is a multi-band compressor - you could tame just
the frequencies that bother you while leaving other bands untouched. Are you
processing an entire mix, or a single track?
