vst expansion bay in g3 500

Hi all

i only ask as there are mac users on this list

but i  am going to get a g3 500 20 gig 256 ram and vst expansion cdrw put inside as the price is great for a new powerbook (i know g4s are out but i can get a cdrw so i can transfer .wav to my pc , i am using CUBASE etc)

Has anyone used this vst expansion cdrw, does it work fine, any probs...i am making the leap on Monday so i need mac users inputs...

or ill get the vaio xe17 with cdrw(as i am pc anyway, but want to see what the mac can do)
