vladislav delay: ANIMA, plus RLW
What do people think of Vladislav Delay's ANIMA?
(Hope this hasn't already been discussed, can't
remember.) Also, what is the difference between the
vinyl and CD versions? It seems that the vinyl might
contain a substantially longer version of the piece
than the CD, but I am not sure.
Also, while I'm posting, I wanted to briefly gush once
more about the RLW TULPAS box set from Selektion, with
5 full CDs of dozens of artists "remixing" and/or
re-employing raw material from RLW aka Ralf Wehowsky,
and it's incredible; often quiet, sometimes
earth-shattering, usually both simultaneously.
Nothing new, but hey...I get the feeling that the
music is much more "concrete" than purely
electronic/computer-generated. I have also been
knocked out by RLW's WHEN FREEZING AIR... and p16.D4's
TIONCHOIR collection. Could anyone recommend other
RLW or P16?
Thanks,
