Imho, to be "political" art:music is to interact with the society -- by
virtue of the works' own substance, not by politically taking an
explicit stand on the part of the composer/artist him/herself
(presumably implying some publicity with respect to the former, though)
.... -- btw, the recent past did show how pretty indigestible
ideologically heavily impregnated art:music can become for some
post-contemporary era ... (cf. e.g., the socialist realism).
