thanks, this was nice to read. in fact all of the source material i was 
using where from traditional instruments as it all came from sesame street 
songs. gonzo playing the bluesharp, strings, harp and ernie's 'i dont want 
to live on the moon', you'll know the ones.
i enjoyed orens set a lot. the night before i heard a solo set by fred 
frith which was good but compared (...) with ambarchis it seems quiet 
gimmickish and hyperactive to me. orens long, still standing tones in the 
first half touched me deeply (and i knew he wasnt tuning because he did 
this for the soundcheck*). a soothing end for a hot day in london.
