minidisc - 1 last ?

wow - thanks for all of the input.

i've always been a sharp fan because they always seemed to have features i 
was looking for at minimal prices.

i have one last question (sony experts please help here):
***I was comparing Sony's MZR500PC and MZR700PC at sonystyle.ca (yes i'm 
cdn) and it seems that the MZR700PC may have a bunch of editing functions 
and freebees but it doesn't have a stereo mini jack line out, only headphone 
stereo mini jack.

i'm always concerned about output. Will the headphone stereo mini jack have 
quality sound? or should i consider purchasing the lower priced model 
(MZR500PC) that has a dedicated stereo mini jack line out?

i'm sure experienced minidisc users can comment on output sound quality.

ps - why not make one unit with decent inputs and ouputs? what are these 
engineers thinking? only profit maybe?
