this Enoishingly thread reminds me of those difficult undergrad days... long
afternoon arguments with my composition teachers about the supposed demonic
intentions of Coda in their writing of Finale... "yes! yes!" said I, "it is
a terrible shame that we ever stopped the right godfull practice of banging
the crap out of sticks and rocks to notate our little Bagatelles... do
please pass the petit fours".
....and pray tell what is all this rigmarole about the immediacy of physical
instruments? I know you!! I remember you chaps trying to sit in on jazz
ensemble... trying to pass the most hackneyed clichés you lifted from some
'twenty minuet version of Down by the River'... you could, at the very
least, do us the curtsey of not using your guitar strings as a bong tools!
Good plying requires some inspiration and practice, practice, practice...
