I remember philip posted about this cd last week, and after hearing it for
myself, I to agree its a huge step i dont want to say forward but just a new
direction for taylor dupreee. The tracks have a organic feel to them, and
the sound design is great, plus the over all recording is excellent. overall
I would compare it to the work of richard chartier in some regards. I hope
that this direction continues for dupree. Plus the graphic design is
outstanding.
also, I have finally gotten around to digitizing a live set I did in april
on a pirate radio station here in florida, the overall recording is not
desirable but the set came off successfully, its about twenty minutes long.
if anyone would like a copy please reply to me off-list and once i get them
all burned i'll mail them out. I only plan on making about 25 copies. the
music is somewhat close to the work of fennesz / pimmon from what I can
gather. Also this is about half of the set I performed in april at the
no-compression festival. Please keep in mind, this recording was made in a
shitty ass old two story leaky stinky garage with out of date transmiters
and a horrible cassette recorder, hidden away (from the FCC) in a really bad
neighborhood on a late night, so there is alot of hiss and somekinda drone
sound that I cant seem to get rid off.
