Re: [microsound] ekkehard ehlers

Ekkehard Ehlers (can anyone tell me about his other work?)

ehlers' work is quite varied but revolves mostly upon reappropriation of samples in a postmodern way...

Thanks much for the info, David!

I have heard some of Autopoieses stuff on Ritornell, but I did not realize Ehlers was part of that (Live à Noir is a bit light on info), nice work. Will seek out the Betrieb release, intriguing, and I guess the invalidObject disc draws on that same material.

plus not to forget: Ekkehard Ehlers's work with Stephan Mathieu on a CD in the Brombron series. It's called Heroin and deals with the various aspects of popmusic (for them heroin is one of the main aspects). They recorded this work in a week time when they were in Nijmegen, The Netherlands late december 2000, early 2001. It's highly recommended (plug plug) for its quality in clicks and cuts And popmusic.

Sorry to be so ignorant, Frans, but what is the Brombron series? This project sounds interesting...

Thanks!
