Hi all,

Rhizome.org and SoundLab/Cultural Alchemy invite to
come to Rhizome OpenMouse on Thursday, August 30th,
from 8pm-11pm at Fun in NYC. This months' event
includes artwork by Robert Kachroo, Marcello Mazella,
Kurt Baumann, Giles Hendrix, Yevgeniy Fiks, and
Barbara Confino.  

Rhizome OpenMouse is an event that uses the "open mic"
concept to provide a forum for new media artists to
share their work and talk to each other in
real time. Artists who make net art, web sites,
software, ascii video, digital art, and animation are
invited to sign up and show their work. The
event is held at Fun, a nightclub located at 130
Madison Street in Chinatown, and there is no cover to
attend.

All sound artists take note:

August will be the last month that the sound artists
are curated for OpenMouse. Starting with our September
event, we will be opening up the sonic space as well
as the visual space to a first come first serve open
enrollment. So if you are a new media artist working
with sound, a digital sound artist, or electronic
musician, etc. consider this an early invitation
to sign up for our September OpenMouse. The signup
sheet for September's OpenMouse will be available at
http://rhizome.org/events during the first week of
September.
