Re: [microsound] [ sydney info ] - and ever so slightly related to 'severed heads and you'...

I must say that I did hang out with Gary Bradbury in the mid 90's while I
was playing live in Sydney, and he is one of the nicest guys,I told him how
I use to love the early "pre neworder sounding" sev heads, I was playing one
night and Tom rolled up, Gary introduced me to him, I said that I have all
the sevs records, and had been a fan since day dot, all I got from him was
"oh god not another one" I can understand his response as so many would have
said that to him before me. but I was a bit taken back by his tongue in
cheek sarcasm , but what else would he be, Sevs whole thing was toung in
cheek.
I do know that Sev were an influence on so many artist, from the Detroit
guys to Autechre ( if you listen to tracks from Ae round 94-97 you can hear
Sevs music in there). I can understand Toms down on the electronic scene as
he has really had no recognition for some time, but Sev early tracks are
still amazing....

You should still be able to download the complete sev audio collection from
their web page, total tracks from all releases, nothing is missed bar a
track I have from Electronic Music Maker from version 86

Go check em out if you missed it.

Also just got back from a Klunk/F. Lo show under a soccer field, amazing
reverb, huge place, cant wait for the show tomorrow at the South Yarra Art
Gallery.
