software synthesizers

anybody who doesn't buy into different software synths sounding different:
we did an A/B comparison between a Bitheadz softsynth and Generator (what
it was called before it was named Reaktor) years ago at Staccato...we were
astounded by the difference...the Bitheadz oscillators were poorly
band-limited and had an overall "muddy" quality (phase smear in the
filters?)...Generator sounded pristine and had a very clear sound-stage in
comparison...
it all in the math!
