RE: [microsound] napster was a promotional service



thats funny.  I just checked that site out and the
liscensing section pretty much prohibits napster-esque
exchanges; and broadcasting number limitations...seems
a bit of unnecessary red tape.  
BUT...
I know how it is, and am not trying to throw a hammer
into the effort.  It just goes to show how quickly the
legal aspects kick in for music distribution.  
It seems to me that the device in place to prohibit
the copying/sharing of this music would only limit the
amount of exposure and thus limit the number of
parties possibly interested in subscribing to this
effort.   
What would be the problem with saying:
"Hey, do *whatever* you want with this so long as you
don't (a) sell it for personal profit or (b) claim it
as your own music and do (c) keep the id tag [website
address, credits] while trading it on [enter p2p
program here]."
anyway, hope it works out.
