March 20th 2002 is the 26th anniversary of London Musicians' Collective.
We are doing a concert at The Spitz, 109 Commercial Street, E1: do come
along!

Konk Pack + Taku Sugimoto
The hardcore improv trio of Brits Tim Hodkinson (reeds), Roger Turner
(drums) and Germany's Thomas Lehn (synth) sold out their gig at the
October
Gallery last autumn and do a short UK tour to promote their new CD "Warp
Out" (Grob). Loud, frentic, maniacal, they contrast with Taku Sugimoto,
the
most extreme of Japan's current wave of near-silent players, a guitarist
whose style is quiet, limpid and baffling & a star of 2001's sell-out
"Japanorama" CMN tour. His favourite guitarist - you'd never tell from
his
own oblique and conforntational performances - is English folk player
Nic
Jones.
