there's this neat machine called "Probability Drummer" which is
a drum machine and loads up to 8 samples (you could use 2 or 100
if you can handle the latter). the probability of triggering
every sample is controlled by a dedicated parameter and if you
wire it to some kind of a midi controller you can pretty much
use it for live performances.
