Not sure how you're applying that definition in the first place, if you mean
not using dramatic elements in the music, our not using passion/emotion in
it's creation...either way I won't refute your claim at attempting the
elimination of "emotion".  If it's the former, I can see how that is brought
about by how you construct your music (as much as I understand that
process).  As for the latter, well, I suppose that would bring me to my book
list, basically straight from the bibliography of "The Man Who Tasted
Shapes" by Richard E. Cytowic, M.D.

As all of the books I just mentioned strongly suggest, it's unlikely that
any of us are capable of eliminating emotion in our decision making
processes.  Might make a nice artist's statement or a good sound bite,
though ;)  And that isn't to say that I don't agree with the last part of
your post.  Deepending on how open the invitation is, the listener/viewer of
an artwork always seems to bring something special to created works.  It's
amazing to watch how people experience your work, and reminds you that the
creator is only have of the process.
