actually, i know quite some people who are into contemporary, experimental
electronic music.
i visit a specialised shop (almost) every week (in belgium), and most of the
people purchacing mille plateaux, raster-noton, 12k and even
table.of.the.elements, erstwile, alga marghen or erstwhile releases are not
composing themselves..

i'm not sure they're all on mailing-lists like this one though, and maybe
they did experiment a bit with sounds or computers, but it seems most
electronic/experimental record-buyers over here are 'passive' music-lovers..
(and most of them quite obsessive too..  :)
