re:electronic music in japan

I was there earlier this year, and if you can make it to Nagoya, check
out a record shop called 'out music'. The owner was very friendly and
helpful for me.
I mainly found things out by trawling record stores and getting fliers,
weighing up my options and just chatting with as many people as i could.
It was actually quite surprising how 'open' most of the japanese are to
different kinds of music. . . as compared to where I am living now
(Adelaide, Australia). All 'nights' I went to in Tokyo, Nagoya, Kyoto,
and Osaka were well attended and very well recieved.
I managed to catch Akufen, Snd, some tigerbeat fellows and some other
mille plateaux people while i was there, and i was only there for 5 weeks
.. .

have fun!
