For a listener the diff. between say EAM and microsound is a bit=20
academic. Neither is probably anywhere near ready for commercial=20
exploitation. Composers who need to eat should keep their day-jobs ;=3D)
For most listeners "music" is connected with rythm and melody. Not=20
necessarily easy listening, fixed beats or nice harmony, but some form=20=
of "musical" quality is usually involved.
So simply by not calling EAM/microsound "music" you can remove this=20
connection and make it easier for an audience.
Call it "sound art" or whatever that will give them a clue what to=20
expect, just dont go near the term "music".
