Re: [microsound] Laptop Questions + lk

re partitioning: yea, thats what i did the other day, now all my samples,
audio progs, and tracks are on d: and other stuff is on c:.
im not technical minded at all but, as far as what the fault was, i have no
idea. i was messing about in reaktor in a cafe when there was a "sound
driver error" and it all died. then when i tried to boot up it wouldnt go
past trying to load the drivers for my sound card. my computer friend told
me that there was no other option than to format the thing and boot from the
cd.
i've been motivated to go out sample hunting because of it, and i must say
bonfire night here in Wales was a treat. im used to living in a small town
where you here a bang every couple of seconds. i live in the city now for
uni, and it was so ddifferent, like a constant drone of muffled rumbles and
cracks. anyway...

anyone else being blown away by the "sparkling composers" series on lucky
kitchen?

best,
wes
