I grew up with Phillip Glass.
I remember many times sitting in the car with my dad listening to "Einstein
on The Beach" as he explained the little changes going on with the rhythms.
It had a pretty big impression on me as a youngster, along with that very
cool soundtrack to "The Thin Blue Line" (a great movie!!!)
In fact one of my first compositions ever was a P.G. knockoff, I think I
still remember it's name.... "Cellar Stairs."
I still really like him, I saw him in concert last year and he was just
brilliant, just him on a piano. I couldn't muster up the courage to say
hello, he was such a big figure to me.
