Bill,

All of your bluster sounds like you're proudly displaying your little
red book and Che Guevara t-shirt.  The left swears everything is a
conspiracy.  Chavez is a dirtbag.  The upper echelons in ALL Latin
American countries are corrupt.  But the reality is that any government,
including yours, deals with the powers that be, be they sweethearts or
filthy thugs.

And Allende got knocked off because even members of his own party
worried about his making attempts to radically change the Chilean
constitution.  But I'm sure you'll say this is some crazed rightist
fabrication.  As the left doesn't lie, do they?

Of all the sources you cite below, only one comes from a fairly unbiased

source--HRW.  The rest are pretty much the going western media of=20
governments who would love to see Chavez go down.  One of your sources=20
is the Washington Times, for god's sake.  Reverend Sung Myong Moon's=20
paper, as filthy right wing as they come.  HRW calls for an=20
investigation of four murders.  But at the bottom you'll notice there=20
have been no confirmed cases of extrajudicial killings of opposition=20
supporters.

Venezuela is Allende, Take 2, with perhaps a little less CIA involvement

this time.
