RE: [microsound] war: whut's it gud fer?

I understood Rumsfield's (hiss, hiss) statement to include everyone from =
Britian & Spain
to Ireland (who are allowing use of Shannon airport as a =
stopping/refueling point - breaching their neutrality),=20
Turkey (overflight rights), Poland (who have deployed a "small number of =
troops") and so on. I kind of understand
the secrecy about the whole thing, just for the individual nations' =
security. But it's still sneaky. The Whitehouse
mentioned the nations as including Australia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Italy, =
Japan, the Netherlands, Poland,=20
Portugal, Romania, Spain, Turkey & United Kingdom. That gets us up to =
what, 10, 15??? - R=20

I appreciate the variety of opinion on this list, especially since we =
are fairly geographically spread out.=20
It's one of the best forums I'm part of which is discussing this =
conflict. So, thank you!!=20

..IF weapons of mass destruction are in fact found in
Iraq, would it change anyones mind who is opposed to
war ?

at this point it would be impossible to know for sure
whether of not iraq did possess any useable WMD's on
the basis that the third party looking for them has
been deemed a failure by the big guns, and kicked out
of iraq while methodically searching for said weapons;
creating a situation where the invading forces now
controll the flow of information out of the region

call me crazy, but accepting any agressive invading
forces assertions at face value is dumb if you have
any genuine interest in the truth ...=20

for example, rummsfeld has started stressing the point
of how multilateral this GWII coalition is,
claiming it is more so then the 91 coalition, an
"interesting" comparison when one conciders 32 nations
contributed troops then, 2 nations -besides the US-
have sent troops now ... who are they
trying to fool? people unfamiliar with how numbers
work?
