RE: [Fwd: Dear Mr. President]
Great resources on this story, thank you. I believe your point is valid, =
in that it wasn't so much a cover up or suppression. It was just covered
very selectively and then only by the internet media portals, rather =
than the
local media syndicates, whether newspaper or television, which is where
the majority of people get their news. It's easy to assume that everyone
clicks over to Yahoo or Google news every half hour, but this is =
certainly
an exception rather than the rule. If I were to ask the 100 closest =
people
around me who Rachel is, would they know? It's rather unfortunate that =
this
occurred at the beginning of the whole war, it's significance is being =
diluted.

Suppressed? I first read about it on http://www.yahoo.com !
They have pictures of her:
Standing in front of the bulldozer:

Dead / Dying (WARNING, VERY GRAPHIC)

Her at Burning Man(!)
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=3Dstory&u=3D/030317/168/3j5vj.html
Her protesting:

Her simply smiling:

And very many more.
I think it is sad that this young girl got much more than she bargained =
for
in this dangerous situation. But concerning the Forwarded Email's =
points:
Yahoo is a pretty major, mainstream source of news (AP & Reuters). How =
is
this news being suppressed? This isn't as big a news story as millions =
of
dollars of bombs destroying Iraq ... yet I still heard about it.
