MOVEMENT: DEMF 2003 (Detroit, MI)
Thinkbox has been invited to perform at this year's Movement
=46estival at Hart Plaza in Detroit, MI... the fest takes place from
May 24-26, and we'll be presenting on the 'Underground' stage,
(which features "more experimental, cerebral electronic music")
The collective will be performing 'Relay 1.1', which will consist
of live improvisational audio & video manipulation within a 6 member

Bill Van Loo will be performing live visuals in conjuction with a live audio

McNamara Residency at BINZ 39 (Zurich, Switzerland)
Chris McNamara will be creating a site & sound specific work while attending=
an
artists residency in Nairs, Switzerland during Jun/July of this year.
He promises
to bring back dark chocolate (because it goes better with red wine & port).

Laliberte Video Work at GROUND ZERO / FCG (London, ON)
Mark Laliberte will be presenting a new single-channel video work entitled
'Twitch', a spastic cartoon facial breakdown that runs the viewer through a
broad range of emotion in a condensed amount of time ... presented in a
window space, this moment of public hysteria is designed to interact with
street traffic.The Forest City Gallery is located @ 795 Dundas St. in London=

RELAY MP3 (52.8MB)
All 6 Thinkbox members performed collectively at Cranbrook Musuem on
March 28. This was a special audio/video performance entitled 'Relay'.
The performance featured a 6-member rotation, with each artist performing
solo, then dueting with another artist. It was presented in conjunction with
the "Post Digital Painting" exhibition.You can download an MP3 audio file

THINK003CD/THINK004CD (full length CD Releases)
Thinkbox is in the creation stages of compiling Editions 02 & 03,
theme-based follow up releases to 'Settings'. The themes for each disc
are a secret for the time, but watch our site for eventual announcements.
Editions 02 is scheduled to be released early Fall 2003; Editions 03 is
scheduled to be released in early Winter 2003.
NOTE: Thinkbox Sampler CDRs will be available at Movement 2003
and Mutek, and will more than likely contain some of these new tracks!

IMMEDIA 2003
Thinkbox members Bill Van Loo, Rob Theakston, Chris McNamara & Steve Roy
all performed at this year's Immedia Festival at University of Michigan this

CANTERBURY HOUSE SESSIONS 2002/03
Bill Van Loo performed a special live set in back April at this venue,
just as he did last year. Rumour has it that you may soon have the
opportunity to purchase a special edition CDR of this ground
breaking live material.

MUTEK 2003 FIELD TRIP
While Thinkbox isn't performing at the Mutek fest, please note that members
BVL, CM, CB, and MCL will all be attending from Wed.May.28 -Fri.May.30,
taking in all the sights and sounds that Montreal has to offer;
they'd love for you
to say hello & will undoubtedly have Thinkbox merchandise with them...
if you're nice, you may walk away with some rare TB audio goodies.
