laptop and notebook

Hello,

I'm looking for scholarship/references to the use of the terms "laptop"
and "notebook" for portable computers, specifically with regard to the
anthropomorphic aspect of the word "lap," (laptop as a take-off of the
term "desk-top"?) and the analog quality of "notebook" (a book of blank
pages for notes).

As a tangent, a friend has suggested Heidegger's discussion of typing
with two hands being less "human" than handwriting in cursive with one
hand. Also, Derrida's discussion of archive.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

G.
