Thanks for this wonderful contribution.

Perhaps I'm misundertsanding, but in the situation above, if the live
performance was judged good ("sounds pretty good") at the moment, how
can it later be judged as "not much a performance"?

Or are you referring to the Web site "performance" in the 2nd paragraph?
