"one hour as transitions"

"...short snap-shots in fragmented river of cut-up, sometimes
inter-linked, sometimes opposed by contrasts; avalanche of moments,
perceptual changes in variations..." [slavek kwi]

constructed by slavek kwi from fragments of recordings from
sound-archives of A.M.T. collected during years 1988-2003, various
projects. (april 2003)

"one hour as an archivist's nightmare"

"..i will read the titles of the last (i guess about 1000 should fit
into hour) records i got. selected, insofar as i'd leave out those i
found not worth listening to anyway. no criteria of order otherwise
(therefore the title).
imagine a future archivist interested in
experimental/avantgare/underground - however you will call it - sounds
of the past 21st and 20th century, trying to find a path..." (rec:
april, 2003) [ralf wehowsky]

Ian Nagoski
"one hour as all your good intentions go kerflooey"

"Recorded the afternoon of Sunday June 22nd, 2003 in my room on North
Calvert St, Baltimore, Maryland. An aproximation of my live
performances, utilizing a cross-section of material recorded over the
past few years. There are too many people to thank for their help in
loaning me equipment or space (mental or physical) to create the source
material, but special salutations have to go to Dan Conrad of beloved
Baltimore for the use of his original instrument, Wild Wave, which
dominates the middle section of the piece. Since the piece came up two
minutes short of one hour, I have included, for Ben Green's convenience,
a two-minute filler track recorded from a post-WW II, American 78 rpm
record of a Ukrainian wedding song, which I include by way of aesthetic
explaination. May all our weddings shine from the future into the past
and back. (for Jack and Laurie.)" [ian nagoski]
