Howard Stelzer & Jason Talbot (Boston, MA)
--------------------------------------------------------
"The duo of Howard Stelzer and Jason Talbot is an integral part of Boston's
burgeoning improvised music community. Talbot plays a single turntable. By
preparing the needle with such things as balloons and paper clips, he has
developed his own vocabulary of sounds. Stelzer performs using a series of
standard cassette decks and tapes, manipulating the motors and gears
manually to create a percussive counter to Talbot's organic noises." Howard
Stelzer runs Intransitive Recordings and Jason Talbot runs Kissy Records.

Ting Ting Jahe (Richmond, VA / Brooklyn, NY)
Born out of lifelong obsessions with music and sound, photography and
confusing found objects, Ting Ting Jahe acts as a surge protector against
the electrical spikes Tommy Birchett, Ben Owen and Ben Scott wield. Using
field recordings, radio, computers, contact mics and various bought and
found sundries, Ting Ting Jahe compresses and mixes, until sound flows
freely and deliberately, creating a necessary, fixated oneness with the
almighty OM.
