'The Glitch Electronica Standard Reference'
All i'm sayin' is.........
- it's a bit of an impossibility innit?
a glitch is a process or event in time -no?
..i mean it's a bit like printing a book of photos called 'The Standard Snowflake reference'
...it could go on forever a bit like this argument....
i would've liked to have seen an actual album released by sony called this tho now that would've caused some large DOS riot at sony .com by the sounds of it....!
either way, all kudos & well done to j.frede et al getting this ditsributed by sony, at the end of the day big market forces pushing this sound can't be all bad if you have to make living off music, i just get the sneaking suspicion that the marketing people have spent to many misguided hours reading about xml - com structures and their variant STANDARDS without actually knowing what they're talking about
e.g. believing they can sell sH*t to sheep, make it look 'webby' they said to grafik dezignerz- but that's project managers and design by comitee for you ...
at best this is a case of poor design (in terms of nomenclature - or excellent if you are a marketeer in this specific case, all advertising is good - there's no such thing as bad publicity!) ,
or if you REALLY want to take it to court there might be grounds for misinfomation breach (it doesn't do what it says on the can)
-e.g. how can one standardise what is by its( a glitch ) very nature an accident ?
and how can one claim to have created 'THE Glitch Electronica Standard Reference'
as if to imply it is the definitve standardisation of all Glitch sounds and that there are no more than these 500 glitch sounds and that all other glitch sounds should not be considered as glithc sounds because these newer (or older) glitch sounds did not appear on this The (implied as definitive) Glitch Electronica Standard Reference'
