Hi,
The interesting part of the open source community is not its politics,
but the do it yourself, stick your fingers in the pie, deeply inclusive
collaboration of it all.
A microsound project in the open source spirit would be one that makes
computer music without using any existing music software. An entry
would include a formal program that generates the song.
Everyone on this list is a programmer.
We've all renamed .jpg to .wav or played a dozen mp3s at the same time.
Thats programming - just put it in a batch file.
Libraries that only read or write sound files would be ok. Other than
that, do it yourself, manipulate the samples by hand, use code from
other projects, fourier transforms, language programs ... but no
existing software _intended_ to make music.
