david,

i'll "touch" the subject of genrefication, if only to get an idea of what you
mean by noise. the term has been commodified by innumerable artists and
communities with wildly different political and aesthetic agendas. i
realize that i'm responding to question #1 with a question, and i am sorry
about that, but would you please describe the noise that you don't "get"?

in re question #2, why is "intensity of experience" unacceptable?

oops, i did it again. =)
