Agreed. I saw dumb type (with Ryoji Ikeda's music) at REDCAT last month and
the speakers (huge ones) were on the stage. Having them 25+ feet in the air
at SCREAM created a weird disconnect between performer and sound (even
though there's not much in the way of visual cues watching people play
computer).

I enjoyed Mark Trayle and Carl Stone. The others were a bit too "academic"
for my taste; some of the sounds seemed beamed directly from 1987.
