not sure I really agree with that. Just because you make your work freely
available does
not mean you lose ownership of the work. If it is distributed on CD then of
course the CD
is no longer yours but the content surely is.

is this really relevant if you are talking about art? if you are making art
with the intention
of it being free to all this is making some kind of statement about how you
understand the
value or worth of a piece of art (whatever that is it is not how much it sells
for). For
someone to then sell it for a profit is damaging to the art and in some ways
to its
meaning.
