I highly recommend looking at the book Virtual Sound
by Riccardo Bianchini and Alessandro Cipriani. Its a
great intro text to Csound, once you've worked through
it you will find the topics covered in Dr. Boulanger's
book much easier to deal with. You can find a link to
info on Virtual Sound on csounds.com.

You might want to consider joining the Csound Tech
list. You can find info on it on csounds.com as well.
In a nutshell it is for people using Csound for IDM
type music. It is also very newbie friendly.
