[microsound] Tristram Cary broadcast - Saturday 18.00 GMT



Tristram Cary is a pioneer of British electronic music, who composed music
for Dr. Who and the Daleks, "Quatermass & the Pit", "The Ladykillers" Ealing
comedy, as well as numerous other radio, tv and theatre performances. He
also was a founder member of the EMS synthesizer company in the 1970's.

There will be a recorded broadcast of a presentation made by Tristram Cary
about his life on Saturday at 18.00 GMT, on Radio Kinesonus.

You will also hear a performance of his 1971 piece - "Trios" - for Synthi-A
synthesizer, 2x turntables and dice. These recordings were made in Brighton,
England, last week at a retrospective festival of his music  - organised by
Ian Helliwell/Integrated Circuits. The performers were: Barry Seven, Adam
Bushell & Will Prentice.

The broadcast will appear as an archived mp3 file on the radio kinesonus web
site approx. 1 week after the broadcast.
