[microsound] performance or presentation?

regarding "boring" laptop performances, i reached the
conclusion early on that if i was distracted by
the image of the performer then i wasn't paying close
enough attention to the music/sounds... which is
something we all find ourselves doing during sermons
at church, lectures at school or presentations at work
when we lose focus on what is being presented. 

the word "performance" may be the root cause of the
whole debate/discussion, and at this point we can all
agree that its use in this "immobile guy on stage
using a laptop" context is problematic at best. 

my amazing solution: replace "performance" with
"presentation". eh?
