The lack of sweet spot is interesting, but it seems as if you would be 
limited to only producing sounds whose source is in the front 90 
degrees (or so) of your audience (unless you used a 360 degree ring of 
speakers, but a straight line of 24 seems hard enough to manage...). 
Still, it seems much better than ambisonic for producing sounds in 
relatively cramped spaces.
