Re: [microsound] London project
It is kind of a "same old problem" concerning the relationship
between our urgence to do something to deal on a public basis with
what surrounds us and the fact that our acts are (mostly) ignored by
the public eye...
Isn't that enough, as a "public" action, if we just (just?) try to
give "public" words (or sounds, images) new meanings, as we already
try to do? or if we give our possible audience different ways to link
information to world things respect to what tv, pop sounds,
institutional media, ordinary life ideology try everyday to take us
into?
I often feel myself not confortable with artistic proposals that try
to append to the artistic act (that is always an act of thought,
either if one wants it and if one doesn't) extra-artistic reasons
(political, social) as if the artistic act hadn't already a strong
political-social status, expecially if coming from not wide diffused
arts.
sorry for my bad english...
am i the only one here who has that opinion?
