Re: [microsound] [OT] So, how much spit does it take to fry a powerbook?
I have never owned an apple. My first laptop was an IBM A21p. I fucking workhorse. I used it for 3D modeling and CAD work, plus some messing around with music. I was in a coffee house in Cleveland enjoying my latte when someone I knew sat down near by. She is a great writer and someone I admire. I went to show her some things on my laoptop and.......oooopppsssshit...there goes my latte. A nice spill over a portion of my keyboard area. I mopped it up and we all hoped for the best. I had no problems at all. I now have a HP pavilion with a full keyboard at a very good price.
I agree with the taking out the battery and turning the laptop on its side. They have gotten really good at making laptops now. As a matter of fact, the market is all on the laptop and good deals are now.
