Just the fact that you felt the need to classify your collection in this way 
is something to think about. We're still often being separated into a 
different class by our sex.  Why do you have so few American females in your 
collection? What is the cultural significance? I think the fact that you 
were counting all the female composers in your collection is a good place to 
start.

....yesterday, while listening to some beautiful sounds from sawako i started 
counting all the female artists in my catalogue and to my total surprise i 
could not find any american!...
